Less and local

Thought for the day:

“We need to move away from more and global to less and local; from accumulation of unnecessary clutter to enjoyment of good things in life like art, music, friendship and free time. We need to shift from waste to frugality, from consuming to making, from illusion to imagination, from desire to delight and from consumption of natural resources to an appreciation of the natural.”

I love this quote, though it makes me look at my home and lifestyle and think that I'm a pig. And also that my yarn stash needs to be given to needy knitters in Knitterville, USA.

I was looking at a pasta maker I received as a gift a while back. It is still in its box and hasn't been used. It is a little reminder to be mindful of what I am purchasing for others for gifts. P.S. You may need to check the time on your posts. Yesterday's post says you posted it today...
